What we do:
We at Khadighar Farm focus on self-reliance and community. Our goal for the coming years is to extend our vision into the food market place by starting our own CSA (Community Supported Agriculture), with the long-term intent to help make the Farmington area more self-reliant for food. We also intend to continue teaching and advocating for truly sustainable food production systems through classes, events, books, and articles. Please see our FAQ for more information.
Frequently Asked Questions:
+ What is community supported agriculture (CSA)?
Community-supported agriculture (CSA) is a food production and distribution system that directly connects farmers and consumers. In short: You buy "shares" of our harvest in advance and then receive a portion of the crops as they're harvested.
+ How does Khadighar Farm CSA work?
We open our CSA for sign-ups starting January 1st every year. If we run out of shares, your name will be placed on our wait-list in case we have drop-outs during the season. You can sign-up by emailing us at khadigharcsa@gmail.com, at which point you will be sent an invoice. You can also call at 778-2410. Those placed on the wait-list who do not receive a share, or are interested in securing a share have the choice of becoming a member for the following year and will be notified some time after January 1st.
We take cash, and PayPal (wabonsall@gmail.com). Checks and MO can be made out to Will Bonsall/Khadighar CSA. You pick up at the farm on Thursdays between 2-8pm, flexible.

Although the share is based on what we have that week, we’ll try to be flexible. We’ll email everyone a day or two before pick-up of what’s available that week and you can email us back any adjustments you’d like made (ex. less broccoli, more corn) so that you receive at least the same value.

As vegans, farming veganically, we see our farming practice as a way to keep ourselves outside of the system of animal reliance.
Each year we offer a limited number of apprenticeships. For people interested in learning our particular system of veganic farming, please see our Apprenticeship page for more info.
